About Me

When it comes to content, my main focus is to deliver quality writing—keeping the message clear and tone tweaked for the target audience. Whether my work gets featured as news stories, appears in an advertisement or stretches out on a screen, I will always strive for strong, entertaining writing.

Before I broke into writing persuasive copy, I studied journalism at California State University Long Beach, where I served a stint at my campus newspaper, the Daily Forty-Niner. My work has made it into print, and online, at the Los Angeles Wave, L.A. Independent and DowneyBeat.com, where I covered crime, city hall and general assignment. Notably, I helped mine data from the Downey Police Department to dynamically map out car thefts in the city. One of my stories also appears on Buzz Aldrin's official website.

A Few Things I Do

  • Writing under deadline
  • Dancing with tone and style
  • PHP and MySQL website development
  • Scribus/InDesign for newsletters, PDFs
Putting journalism aside, however, I also possess a strong passion for Web design and have worked closely with content management systems like Clickability, Drupal and WordPress. Turning mock-ups and wire frames into a live website is relatively simple for me, as well as using the best practices when design, implementation and SEO is concerned.
